Search Procedures:

1. Everyone is subject to search and will proceed through security checkpoints;
2. Exact checkpoint procedures will vary due to security posture and location of entry points;
3. Security Forces has the right to turn anyone away who fails to consent to a search;
4. Personnel will be transfrisked and have their hand-carried bags inspected.

Prohibited Items:

1. JBLM does not recognize any Concealed Weapons Permits (CWP);
2. Any item that could be used as a weapon: knives, firearms, scissors, pepper spray/mace, fireworks etc.;
3. Skateboards, roller blades, scooters, bikes and Segways;
4. Pets (exception: medical alert and military working dogs);
5. Coolers, cans or liquids (exception: water in clear plastic bottles is allowed);
6. Backpacks, camel-baks, duffle bags, tote bags, brief cases or excessive sized bags: (exceptions: medication, oxygen tanks, diaper bags and camera bags);
7. Large lawn chairs (small folding chairs are allowed but must be out of bags and searched.
